Ever thought pilates was easy? Or not for real athletes?
Cadel Evans has given us more proof that pilates is for everyone! The Tour de France winner has suggested pilates be used to increase muscular strength, particularly in your core and back. He has been quoted saying " By strengthening your core (the inner abdominal and small muscles in your back), you can improve your cycling technique and ride with more power." He recommends pilates to improve performance in sport, particularly cycling, suggesting "A strong core means more energy is transferred from the legs to pedals, so you can go harder and faster with less effort. And who doesn't want that?".
So if you're looking to improve your performance in sports such as cycling, running or swimming, get in touch and book a pilates class. Our group classes are only $15 per person at 7:30pm on a Wednesday night so you can come along after work! Email jmiwellness@gmail.com
